Our counselling procedure is unique in Europe and starts with a telephone counselling interview with Marco Crescenzi (Third Sector Management Executive Director and Coordinator for Leader2Leader, the Italian network of NPO managers).
Make good use of this important opportunity, that is free and has no relation with your admission or application to the Master’s Degree program, so that you can really know your potential and your chances to enter and work in the non-profit sector.
Counselling will be treated also during the Master’s Degree, when a very detailed strategic “Career Plan” will be written down and then discussed at the end of the program. The other students and the teaching staff will help you as much as possible in this activity.
The so-called Management area is critical and equally important for your professional success. Actually it’s like another Master’s Degree, giving you a certificate that you can use in the labour market. Recent studies show that professional success depends more on one’s personal, interpersonal and organizational skills rather than on one’s technical/functional and professional skills. Time Management and Organization skills, Negotiation skills, Public Speaking skills, Writing skills, Listening and Persuasion skills: they are all necessary but not at all easy to find.
During the Master’s Degree program, you will also be taught to write your own professional Curriculum Vitae, to present yourself and to face job interviews.
