Thanks to ASVI & Third Sector Management’s long and important experience in the non-profit sector, students can choose among more than 500 organizations of our network, in Italy or abroad.
Internships consist of 200/400 (1-2 Months) work hours during the last four months of the Master’s Degree program and are strongly recommended, because they represent an essential moment in the training process and professional profile of young and senior students.
If it is impossible for a student to do an internship, his case will be discussed with the teaching committee and, if necessary, the student will make an alternative training experience as a Project Assistant.
There are two steps in the choice of the organization:
-
The student can indicates an organization he’s interested in, not necessarily one of Third Sector Management’s network, then our teaching committee will take care of contacting the organization and signing an internship contract.
-
Third Sector Management assigns the student to the chosen organization, supplying him with clear behavioral rules, defining his goals on different levels and his tutors and signing an internship contract, that includes insurance and is in accordance with current rules.
Procedure: once the student has chosen an organization that is coherent with his career and with his needs, we aim at:
-
Defining and negotiating goals, according to available resources (time, space, money);
-
Negotiating and managing resources;
-
Organizing coaching and tutoring on the job;
-
Identifying potential difficulties in advance and in progress;
-
Supervising and evaluating the internship in progress;
-
Strengthening the relation with the organization and spreading the word about Third Sector Management.
After the internship, a student is more likely to be offered a job by an organization if:
The student has made himself useful or even indispensable.
The student has become a new resource that can be used for different projects and functions.
The student has designed his own job within a specific project.
The student was introduced to another organization looking for personnel.
The students has got in contact with another organization that hires him once he completes the internship.
In any case, internship is a challenge to face with intelligence and enthusiasm, and you have to keep up the good name of Third Sector Management students!
Internship/Stage Paid:
Max. 5 , for a duration of 2 months to be completed during course of Master, €1.000 tot. – but only for ‘erasmus like’ stages, under 25 years old.
